I am an Indian artist strongly positioned at the margins of the border and state as a Nagamese-Manipuri representative. To me, art is not only a source of inspiration, but it is also a kind of engagement that leads the artist to directly engage with life. My belief that nature is the all-encompassing enlightner has always surpassed my desire to trespass the boundaries of structure. I had been working on the beautiful memories of my childhood days where i was lost into my own world, the pure attachment between me and nature. What we see and feel when we are kid are different. As we grow older our mind started polluted with society, responsibility, caste etc. I imagine those childhood imagination and express through colour which is for me is a New World. We all cherish our childhood days and we know that too that we cant go back and have that life again but through my painting somehow we just feel the pure life which we had so a new world is possible.
The idea is to look at a multi-cultural exchange that not only uplifts my artistically inclined soul, but also enhances me as a person. My journey in the arts has always led me to explore the most unexplored and i intend to look for inspirational experiences in the space provided at your studio. My work demands exposure to techniques, ideas, people, and diverse cultural experiences, and that is what I feel is my most important journey as an artist. I feel that the theme will give voice to idea that touches us and will remain with us, what’s the importance of the world, the connection between us and the world are once alive.
